Durham United's remarkable FA Vase journey continues after the club was drawn away to Rossington Main FC in the First Round Proper of the competition.

The draw, released from FA headquarters Wembley Stadium, means another away day for the lads after already overcoming two Step 5 opponents on the road to reach this stage. Victories at Northallerton Town and Easington Colliery have earned United their place in the national competition's First Round Proper, where a trip to Yorkshire now awaits.

Rossington Main, who compete in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, are the highest-ranked non-league side in Doncaster and will provide another stern test. But after two outstanding away performances in the qualifying rounds, confidence remains high within the Durham United camp.

More importantly, the tie represents a historic milestone for the team and club.

Now in only our second season at National League Step 6 level, Durham United have reached the furthest stage in any national FA competition in the club's history.
