Willington 0-2 Durham United

It was a fantastic performance from our 1st team last night with a 0-2 away win against a Northern League divison 2 side.

Even though it was a pretty season friendly it’s still a massive achievement for these young lads all of whom are under 20 years old.

What’s was just as impressive was that last night saw 5 of last seasons U16’s making their debut all getting pitch time and playing their part in the game.

Some played full games, some 45 minutes with a couple getting to experience the last 15.

Pre season friendlies are there there to benefit both teams and results will only matter when the season kicks off on the 7th of August.

It was however a great first performance with goals coming from Dylan Aldsworth and Sam Johnson with Darren Hunter picking up the man of the match award.
